i love not having

I love my apartment.
I love not having a yard to mow.
I love not having to pay for repairs.
I love not having to listen to dogs barking in neighbors’ backyards.
I love not having to commit to staying in one place long term.
I love not having a house. OK, well we all know that's not true.

But it doesn't look like this house-buying thing is going to happen. So, I'm back to my old two-year plan. And I'm back to the present, in which I live in an apartment and where I'd like to be content to live out at least another year and a half (if I stick with the plan).

And perhaps that's best. I'm young, and much can happen in a year and a half.

I had a feeling... But if I decided to do the house thing in the next year and a half, you still up for it?

I'm curious to hear the whole story too!

Possibly maybe. Our lease runs through the end of October. And then who knows.

Seems we are on the same page here at your place also. I have been thinking how wonderful a one-story, smaller house would be. I have five levels with stairs everywhere. Some just a few and others more.

Even a condo sounds nice at times...

Ciao chica...enjoy the I love not having.

P.S. Tried to answer your comment best I could over at my place.

Thanks, Teri, for your comments.

And the house thing may be back on again. Why is it that when you announce that something will go one way, it takes a turn in the reverse?

Ah, well, we'll see what happens.

Five levels! Goodness. I should add to my list: I love not having five flights of stairs to traipse up and down.

I'm so lazy; I don't think I'd be willing to even have an apartment on the third floor of a building.
