I'm a freelancer! I have an actually freelance job. Some one, somewhere will pay me to write a story for her.
It's all very exciting, and I'm very nervous. Giddy dance.
My topic: Getting rid of gifts without the guilt.
My thanks go to my roomie who inspired the idea. I just have no idea how to answer it.

What happened? Did you ask around for work or (and this is the impression I got) somebody came to you with an offer? How cool is that?! They didn't specify then? Your choice of subject?

One of my co-workers freelances with them and recommended me. I sent the editor a query on my own with a couple of article ideas. The editor like one of them, and, boom, opportunity knocked.
Wow, evidence of my poor interpersonal skills at work ;)
To be recommended... That's wonderful! This is a good networking opportunity. Definetely take advantage of the education/growth too.
